She made the sheets on his bed,
the warm things that cradle him
the costume that made us weep for laughing at his star antics
the sweet little cloths that clean up after him
AND
she made Daddy
Bonnie, you're in his every day no matter how far away.
Another grandma made the recipes that nourish mama
(and now Orion as we move to 'real' food)
sent the bouncer that makes him giggle and grow strong
and the books that were read to me and my seester
the daily advice and inter-generational story-sharing that calm and reassure
AND
she made mama
Mommy, you are on his every day no matter how far away.
We are SUCH a lucky family.
